Accepted Card Types & Submission Guidelines

At Dotto Card Co., we are proud to offer grading services for a variety of card types. Please review the following information carefully before submitting your cards.

Accepted Card Sizes & Types:

We grade the following standard card sizes, as well as "art cards" or personally made/parody cards, as long as they fit our slabs:

  • Traditional Sports Cards: Including, but not limited to, baseball, basketball, and football cards. These cards have standard dimensions of approximately 63.5 mm x 88.9 mm.

  • Pokémon-sized Trading Cards: This includes a wide range of popular TCGs like Pokémon, Magic: The Gathering, and Dragon Ball Super Card Game. These cards also have standard dimensions of approximately 63.5 mm x 88.9 mm.

  • Japanese-sized Cards: This category includes cards from popular games like Yu-Gi-Oh! and Dragon Ball Heroes/Divers. These cards are slightly smaller than the standard size, with dimensions of approximately 59 mm x 86 mm.

Important Note on Horizontal Slabs:

Our horizontal slabs are designed to accommodate traditional card sizes (approximately 63.5 mm x 88.9 mm). If you choose a horizontal slab for a smaller, Japanese-sized card (e.g., Yu-Gi-Oh!), please be aware that there will be some empty space between the card and the internal brackets of the slab. If a card (including an art card) does not fit within our slabs, we will return it to you, but we will be unable to issue a refund for the grading service fee due to the personnel time and effort involved.

Languages:

We grade all cards that are translatable by our AI. Should we be unable to translate a card's text, we will make our best efforts to describe the card on the grading label.

Content & Material Restrictions:

  • Licensed vs. Unlicensed & Art Cards: We grade both licensed and unlicensed cards. We respect the effort and hard work put into all types of card creations. However, to protect our customers and the integrity of the market, any card that is determined to be unlicensed will be noted on the back of the grading label with the word "Unlicensed." For personally made "art cards" or parody cards, the back of the label will say "Art Card."

  • Content Restrictions: We do not grade cards with nudity of any kind or cards with themes of violence towards women and children. We also will not grade anything that would be deemed illegal. While we understand some cards may be suggestive, we will grade them at our discretion as long as they are legal and not nude.

  • Prohibited Items: Please do not send in cards with blood or any other bodily liquids on them. We do not grade photographs the size of cards, and we will not perform any acts to your cards.

Fake or Forged Cards:

Dotto Card Co. does not grade fake or forged cards. We have a strict policy regarding the submission of fraudulent items.

  • Fake or forged cards will be returned to the customer without a refund for the grading service fee.

  • A customer's account will be banned upon a second submission that contains fake or forged cards.

  • In addition to a ban, you agree to pay a $200 penalty per fake or forged card in any order found to contain such items.

  • If you are unsure whether a card is fake or forged, you must provide this information in the card details section of your submission to avoid penalties. We reserve the right to ban or penalize customers at our discretion, even if this information is provided.

Autographed Cards:

We grade autographed cards but do not authenticate the autograph itself. The grade will reflect the condition of the card. If the autograph has damaged the card in any way (e.g., indents, smudging), this damage will be factored into the final grade.

Receiving Your Submission:

Your cards are officially considered "received" by Dotto Card Co. when we open your shipping box. We will send you a confirmation email at that time.

Dotto Card Co. Refund and Returns Policy

Thank you for choosing Dotto Card Co. We are committed to providing high-quality grading services and products. Please read our policy carefully to understand the terms and conditions regarding refunds and returns.

1. General Policy

By placing an order with Dotto Card Co. for grading services, retail items, or memberships, you agree to the terms of this Refund and Returns Policy. It is your responsibility as the consumer to review all product and service descriptions, including the list of eligible cards for grading, before making a purchase.

2. Grading Services

A. Non-Gradable Cards Dotto Card Co. maintains a list of card types that are eligible for grading. This list is available on our website. It is the consumer's responsibility to confirm that their cards are on this list prior to submission.

  • If a card type submitted for grading is currently un-gradable by Dotto Card Co., we will not issue a refund for the grading service fee for that card.

  • The un-gradable card will be returned to the customer safely along with the rest of their order.

B. Unhappiness with Grades Dotto Card Co. provides professional and objective grading services based on our proprietary grading system.

  • By submitting a card for grading, the purchaser agrees to accept the final grade assigned by our system.

  • We do not offer refunds, partial refunds, or exchanges under any circumstances due to dissatisfaction with a final grade.

C. Damaged or Cracked Slabs We take great care in packaging and shipping your graded cards to ensure they arrive in perfect condition. However, we have no control over the handling of packages by third-party shipping carriers.

  • If you receive a slab that is cracked or damaged upon arrival, you must notify Dotto Card Co. immediately.

  • To be eligible for a free slab replacement, you must provide proof that the damage occurred during transit and before the package was opened. This can be in the form of a continuous, unedited video recording of the package's unboxing.

  • Dotto Card Co. may, on a case-by-case basis, accept high-quality photographs as proof, provided the notification is made within a reasonable time frame. The determination of eligibility will be at Dotto's sole discretion, as there is no way to verify when the damage occurred without proper documentation.

  • Once proof is accepted, you must return the damaged slab to Dotto Card Co.

  • Upon receipt of the damaged slab, we will carefully replace it and ship it back to you at no additional cost.

  • This policy applies only to the structural integrity of the slab, not to the card within it.

3. Retail and Accessories

  • All retail items and accessories sold in our store are drop-shipped from various third-party suppliers.

  • Due to the nature of this fulfillment method, all sales of retail items and accessories are final.

  • We do not accept returns or issue refunds for these products. Please shop accordingly and review all product details before making a purchase.

4. Memberships

  • All membership costs are non-refundable under any circumstances.

  • This policy applies regardless of whether the membership benefits are used by the member.

  • Dotto Card Co. offers a free basic membership that is available to all customers.

5. How to Initiate a Claim (for Damaged Slabs Only)

To report a damaged slab, please contact our customer support team at info@dottocardco.com within 48 hours of receiving your order. Please include your order number and the required video or photo evidence as outlined above.
